High Functioning Anxiety Counseling

Are you a high-functioning individual who, despite outward success, struggles with an internal world of worry, restlessness, or persistent unease? Perhaps you excel in your professional life and relationships, yet privately struggle with intrusive thoughts, physical symptoms of anxiety like a racing heart or stomach upset, or an overwhelming pressure to constantly perform perfectly. Do you find yourself overthinking situations, anticipating the worst, or struggling to relax even when there's no immediate threat? If these internal battles resonate with you, and they're quietly diminishing your sense of peace and well-being, exploring therapy for anxiety can offer valuable strategies and support to help you reclaim your inner calm.

As a Christian Counselor, I believe in integrating faith-informed principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help you cope with anxiety. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we would work together to identify and reframe the anxious thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to your distress, developing more constructive ways of thinking and behaving. Reality Therapy would allow us to focus on your present choices and how they align with your core needs and values, empowering you to make more effective decisions that reduce anxiety and increase your sense of control. With Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), we would explore how your beliefs, particularly irrational ones, might be fueling your anxiety, and I would guide you in challenging and disputing these beliefs to cultivate more rational and calming perspectives. Finally, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) would help us collaboratively identify your strengths and resources, focusing on the desired future where anxiety is less prominent, and building practical steps towards achieving that vision. Throughout our work, we can prayerfully consider and integrate biblical wisdom and spiritual principles to deepen your healing and resilience.
